What makes coconut sugar different from cane, brown and white sugar?
In addition to its stunning caramel flavor, its low glycemic index is 35 (the cane sugar index is 58, the brown and white sugar index is 64). Coconut sugar is a natural sweetener suitable for weight control.
It gives you energy in everyday activities without sudden increases in blood sugar levels, as is usual immediately after eating cane, brown and white sugar.
The advantage is also high mineral content compared to other sweeteners. Coconut sugar has two times higher iron content and four times higher magnesium content, 10 times higher zinc content than brown sugar.
It is very tasty, healthy, long-lasting and especially natural sweetener, which is also very rich in vitamins, minerals and amino acids. It is a purely natural, unrefined substance prepared by hand and with love.
Thanks to its caramel-like taste, it can be used wherever you can imagine it. It has extensive usability. For example, as a sweetener for coffee, tea, cocoa, cocktails, baking ingredients, cakes, ice creams, puddings, substitutes for other natural sugars and syrups, for various desserts, sauces and cakes.
Try its amazing caramel flavor when cooking any food that uses sugar and do something not only for an unmistakable taste, but also for your health.
What part of the coconut palm is sugar produced from? How does the production process work?
Coconut sugar is prepared from nectar from coconut tree flowers. The whole production process is illustrated in our beautiful VIDEO
Are we socialy responsible and friendly to nature?
Our products are handmade and packaged in Bio-degradable and glass containers. We prefer handmade because of honesty, precision and high quality. It is also a beautiful system to support the employment of local people. Social responsibility matters to us. We aim to support people in need in both continets. Our Social responsibility program in Indonesia focus on care of orphans, elders and communities where our natural goodies are being produced. Social responsibility program perfomerd on the other side of a planet (Europe) focus on aid provided to autists integrating into public life. We have been cooperating with Slovak NGO - Rotary Club Trenčín. Our product are hand packed by XNUMX young people with autism.
Our main product coconut sugar has been declared the world's most environmentally friendly sweetener. You ask why?
This product is prepared from Cocos Nucifera coconut palms, which are very beneficial for nature. They can grow in places with low water content and still produce high quality nectar. They are known to improve the quality of soil and their cultivation improves the quality of the soil. Compared to sugar cane or sugar beet, coconut trees produce 50-75% more sugar per hectare and only 1/3 of water and nutrients are enough.
In addition to producing coconut sugar, this "tree of life" is also known for its further use.
The coconut provides not only food, coconut milk and cooking oil, but also roof sheets, fiber for dresses and mats, a shell that can be used as a dish or a decorative item, and sweet flower juice from which sugar is made and alcohol, coconut water, coconut milk, coconut oil and also as building material.
The coconut tree, also called the "Tree of Life," greatly improves the lives of many farmers in the cultivated areas.
For people who do not live in tropical areas, the coconut tree is probably synonymous with a vacation somewhere in the tropics. But for the people living in the tropical zone, this tree means much more. Indonesians say his fruits "have as many uses as days of the year".
Attention: please do not mistake the coconut palm, from which our coconut sugar is made, with palm oil (Elaeis guineensis or Attalea maripa), from which palm oil is produced. Oil palm is a plant that devastates the environment, since it only produces for about 3-5 years and leaves the soil practically dead, nutrient-free. The planting of an oil palm tree disrupts the entire ecosystem, for example in Sumatra, Borneo, but also in Malaysia and Thailand.
Our products come from a completely different palm, called Cocos Nucifera.
What does our cooperation with farmers and community support look like?
We are a supporter of Direct Trade, ie from the farmer directly to the customer. Being a direct Slovak / Indonesian cooperation directly, we have every step of production, quality control and care for people under control.
We use ingredients from a group of farmers who adhere to the rules of organic farming that we have been working with for years. We have created a beautiful, long-term relationship with them based on honest trade, trust and friendship.
We teach, motivate and support farmers to become independent and help them to become producers and final processors of healthy products instead of selling raw materials. In this way, their living conditions have improved significantly.
As part of the social program of the communities in which our products are produced, we support orphans and the elderly.
Are products prepared by hand?
The machine does not give love to the product, but a happy person yes! We distinguish not only the unmistakable quality and purity of the products, the unique concept of direct Slovak-Indonesian cooperation, but also the honest XNUMX% Handmade production.
How do we guarantee the highest quality on the market?
We have been enthusiastic about processing healthy products for years. We pay close attention to the quality of the feedstock, the 4-stage quality control during the production process, to the final product output. Each of our products has an expert who has been dealing with this topic for years. Our coconut sugar team is led by people who were among the first to make coconut sugar in crystalline form. Our vanilla coordinator has been involved in this spice queen for almost 30 years. Special varieties of coffee, including green coffee, are under the scale of planters who have inherited broad knowledge of coffee growing from generation to generation.
Where are the farms located?
The farms are located in the western, central and eastern part of the Indonesian island of Java.
Why do we do what we do?
We love working with the unique exotic ingredients that the fertile volcanic soil in Java offers. We work hard to continually improve product quality, production processes and develop new unique natural products.
We greatly appreciate that this project has enabled us to get to know countless amazing talented people and companies. Working with smiling farmers, customers, shops, cafes, restaurants, chefs, food bloggers, baristas, healthy food specialists, producers of healthy food, desserts and raw cakes is a great gift for us.
A warm feeling at heart is also worth mentioning. We will wake up with the good feeling that we can make people happy and create something that is beneficial for many. Satisfied farmers and the community on the one hand, and on the other, our customers, who in this way use really high-quality ingredients and do something good for their health.
